DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:


The data were acquired from the Florida Marine Research
Institute.  Original sources were NOAA navigational charts.  In
all cases the smallest-scale charts were used.  Harbor areas were
digitized from 1:40,000-scale charts and offshore areas from
1:80,000-scale charts.  The 0-foot contour was extracted from the
original polygon covers and built as a separate line cover.
Items were added to make the data structure compatible with the
5-foot terrestrial contour coverages.
