FEATURE ATTRIBUTE TABLES CODES AND VALUES

Item         Item description

IMAGE Each rectangle in this shapefile represents
             the extent of an image. This field holds the
             name for the image associated with the
             rectangle (polygon).

XMIN The XMIN coordinate for the image's extent.

YMIN The YMIN coordinate for the image's extent.

XMAX The XMAX coordinate for the image's extent.

YMAX The YMAX coordinate for the image's extent.

QUAD_NUM Each image is one-fourth of a USGS quadrangle.
             This is the number of the quadrangle.

QUADRANT     This is the quadrant of the USGS quadrangle;
             either NE, NW, SE, or SW.

Q_NAME The name of the USGS quadrangle.

QQ_NAME The quarter-quad name; a combination of the
             q_name and the quadrant.

ACQ_DATE The date the DOQQ image was acquired.

STATE State where the image is located. Can be
             multiple counties.

USER NOTES:

The images are one-fourth the size of a USGS 7.5 minute quadrangle (hence "Quarter-quads"). This index shapefile is a collection of rectangles that represent the extents of DOQQ images. Each rectangle (polygon) holds information about the associated image.

There is a seperate index (shapefile) for 3-meter images and 6-meter images. The fields are the same in both indexes. The extents of corresponding 3-meter and 6-meter images vary slightly, if at all.

Each county has a seperate shapefile. The name of the shapefile contains a number that identifies the county. Counties are numbered alphabetically. {ex. 01 = Alachua County}

These shapefiles were created by the FGDL team to work with a specific ArcView application created and distributed by the FGDL.

FGDL QUALITY ASSURANCE STATUS:

Final QA performed upon creation.
