GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This dataset contains U.S. Geological Survey sampling station locations. The 
stations are equipped with telemetry to transmit data on streamflow, temperature, 
and other parameters back to a data base for real-time viewing via the World Wide 
Web.

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:

The dataset was downloaded by the GeoPlan Center in interchange format from USGS at 
. Data was imported as a coverage, 
reprojected to FGDL Albers HPGN, converted to shapefile, and clipped to the State 
of Florida. Descript item was added based on STANAME, and lowercase characters 
within the attribute table were upcased. When received, data was in Geographic 
projection, Datum: NAD27, Spheroid: Clark1866, Units: Decimal Degrees.
