FGDL is now only being distributed as the entire library, sold on an external hard drive. The cost is $300, which includes shipping and the cost of the hard drive (there are no additional costs for shipping or the hard drive). All GIS data layers are available for download free of charge from the FGDL Metadata Explorer.

The Florida Geographic Data Library is a collection of Geospatial Data compiled by the University of Florida GeoPlan Center with support from the Florida Department of Transportation.

GIS data available in FGDL is collected from various state, federal, and other agencies ("data sources") who are data stewards, producers, or publishers. The data available in FGDL may not be the most current version of the data offered by the data source. University of Florida GeoPlan Center makes no guarantees about the currentness of the data and suggests that data users check with the data source to see if more recent versions of the data exist.

Furthermore, the GIS data available in the FGDL are provided "as is". The University of Florida GeoPlan Center makes no representations or warranties about the quality or suitability of the materials, either expressly or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. This external hard drive contains all public GIS data available in the FGDL. All data layers are available for download free of charge from the FGDL Metadata Explorer website: www.fgdl.org/metadataexplorer.

The cost for the hard drive with FGDL PUBLIC DATA is $300.

This external hard drive contains all the public FGDL data, plus the non-public data which is only for use with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects and contracts. Examples of data included are: Archaeological Sites, Parcel boundaries, and Road data from Tele Atlas.

The cost for the hard drive with FGDL PUBLIC DATA and FDOT DATA is $300.

*** Data on this hard drive are non-public layers that can ONLY be used on FDOT projects by FDOT employees and people working on FDOT projects. The data that is received for this purpose is NOT to be used for any NON-DOT project nor is it to distributed to the general public, private entities, or other Agencies for any reason without prior written approval.
