Here's a brief description of each DVD series:


FGDL VERSION 2006 COUNTY - BY FDOT DISTRICT

CONTENTS:
These DVDs contain primarily vector data by county in Florida. The data included on these DVDs are ones that make sense to tile by county; generally these are layers that are large in file size. Most of these layers are not available at the statewide extent because of their large file size.

Please note: The following imagery that was previously released with the FGDL County Series is no longer being distributed:

  • FDOT Aerial Photography
  • Digital Orthophoto Quarter Quads (DOQQ)
  • USGS 1:24,000 DRGs (Digital Raster Graphics)

NUMBER OF DVDS IN COUNTY SERIES AND COST:
*Note: The county data available on DVD is distributed by Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District. Layers are still separated into their individual counties, but all counties within a district are included on the same DVD. If you would like to order an individual county, you must order the county on CD-ROM.

The counties included on each DVD are indicated on the DVD Order Form.

Pricing for the District Wide DVD is as follows:

FGDL VERSION 2006 - COUNTY UPDATE

CONTENTS:
This update DVD contains new and updated county GIS data layers released for FGDL Version 2006. New and updated county layers include: National Wetland Inventory (NWIP_MAY06), Specific Soils (NRCS_SOILS), Water Management District Landuse (LU04), and various layers specifically for Martin County. This data represents all new and updated county data added to FGDL since the release of Version 2005.

There is one DVD in this series and the cost is $50. This single DVD includes all counties.

FGDL VERSION 2006 - STATE

CONTENTS:
This DVD series contains GIS data layers at the statewide extent. Some examples of layers in this series are: Major Roads, Mitigation Banks, Public Lands, Metropolitan Statistical Areas, Tropical Cyclone Tracks, and Historic Bridges.

There are two DVDs in this series and the cost of each is $50.

FGDL VERSION 2006 - FDOT CONTRACT BY FDOT DISTRICT (This is available for FDOT use only.)

CONTENTS:
This DVD contains data for use only with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects and contracts. This DVD contains all sensitive data released for both FGDL Version 2005 and FGDL Version 2006. Examples of data included on this DVD are: Archaeological Sites, Parcel boundaries, and Road data from Tele Atlas.

*** Data on this DVD are non-public layers that can ONLY be used on FDOT projects by FDOT employees and people working on FDOT projects. The data that is received for this purpose is NOT to be used for any NON-DOT project nor is it to distributed to the general public, private entities, or other Agencies for any reason without prior written approval.

Along with the order form, you will need to submit a "Copyright Agreement Form for FDOT Use".

NUMBER OF DVDS IN FGDL UPDATE SERIES:

This series is distributed by FDOT district. There is one DVD for each FDOT District, which contains county parcel data for the entire district, some district wide data layers, and state data layers.
